Website builders like Wix and Squarespace are quick to start with, but you pay for them every month, they slow your site down with code you don't need, and they limit what it can do. I build custom sites in Next.js that avoid all three.

What a custom site gives you over a website builder

A website builder rents you its platform. You pay a subscription for as long as the site exists, plus extra for the plugins and apps each new feature needs. A custom site needs only inexpensive hosting, with no builder subscription or paid add-ons, so it usually costs far less to run over the years you'll have it.

How I build your site

I build most sites in Next.js, a modern framework designed for fast, search-friendly websites. For online shops with large catalogues, I build on Shopify instead.
